چکیده

Abstract Introduction We evaluated several biological indicators based on inflammation and/or nutritional status, such as systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), early warning score (ANDC) and prognostic (PNI) in hospitalized COVID-19 patients with without malignancies for a significance. Methodology This is retrospective observational study 186 SARS-CoV-2, who were diagnosed by real-time PCR testing due to pneumonia. 75 had various malignancies, the rest (111), having similar age comorbidity profile propensity matching, no malignancy. Results None of measures neutrophil lymphocyte ratio, platelet monocyte SII, PNI or ANDC was found be significantly different between two groups. Odds ratio mortality, OR 2.39 (%95 CI 1.80–3.16) higher malignancy group, even though duration hospitalization statistically both lower deceased compared survivors group. Contrarily, Conclusions have independent predictive power determining in-hospital death cases. It suggested that seems more sensitive than SII cases malignancies.

Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) is a useful prognostic indicator for patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus

The aim of the study was to determine the prognostic role of systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).A total of 298 ESCC patients were enrolled in the current retrospective study. The SII was calculated by the formula: neutrophil × platelet/lymphocyte. The optimal cut-off value was calculated by the Cutoff Finder. Univariate and multiv...

Prognostic value of systemic immune-inflammation index in patients with gastric cancer

BACKGROUND Inflammation-based indexes have been used to predict survival and recurrence in cancer patients. Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) was reported to be associated with prognosis in some malignant tumors. In the present study, we aimed to explore the association between SII and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed data from 444 gast...
